In reply to Bk. Hi Shukla! The probability is higher that you don't need an airport transit visa for transfer from T5 to T3. The airline could better say whether your itinerary has airside or landside connection at London Heathrow.

I am traveling from DEL to Philadelphia passing through LHR. We arrive at terminal 5 on British airways at LHR and have to go to terminal 3 for our next flight on American Airlines. The layover is 2.5 hours. We have unexpired US Visa and Indian passport. Would we require a transit visa in LHR? The flights were booked together through British airways. Would 2.5 hours be enough? Would this be an airside transit connection, or landslide? Thanks

In reply to Sai Devaraj. Hi Devraj! Having a valid US visa, you don't need an airport transit visa unless the London Airport layover in your itinerary involves passport control.

Hi, i am travelling from Delhi to US via Heathrow and it requires a change in terminal from T5 to T3. the layover is 7 hours. The airline cannot confirm if they need to go through border control again. I have valid tourist visa for canada and US. Do i still need a transit visa to pass through?
if its landside so i still need transit visa to pass through.
