Can you help me. I booked a Lufthansa flight to Chennai, transiting at Frankfurt. but my H1B is expired, and I have a valid I-797 approval notice. I have only two weeks until my flight. Do we need to get a transit visa. I cannot cancel my flight now.

I will be cancelling my old INDIA-DENVER ticket on Lufthansa soon. So technically I have 2 tickets in hand right now. Turkish offers 2X23kg check in baggage while Lufthansa offers 1X23kg. Turkish connection time is 3 hours while Lufthansa is 7 hours. Turkish ticket price bought yesterday is way cheaper than that of Lufthansa bought months earlier. I have flown Lufthansa to Denver earlier from INDIA. Lufthansa’s leg space is scanty, meal portion size is very less and taste is ridiculous. There are very few veg options without egg in MUNICH airport. Priority Pass isn’t acceptable in international terminal in MUNICH. I have also faced racial discrimination in MUNICH. I was urged to leave the lounge which I had paid for because I puked there. Moreover one can also connect TURKISH AIRLINES using INDIGO as well apart from Air India, Vistara which can be also used with LUFTHANSA.

1. My son 21 years old now, got new USA passport in Year 2024. He has OCI card before 20 Years. I guess he has to apply for new OCI card under MICS servive
2. My other daughter is 29 year old now. she is having OCI card issued after age 20. Her USA passport is due for renewal in 2026, Does she need a new OCi card once new apssort in 2026.
3. I am 58 year old now. I have OCI card issued after 50 years. I am getting new passport in 2026. do i need new OCI card? If not do i have to carry the old paasport?
