Doesn’t make any sense. Air India need to do additional marker research before finalizing on their hubs in India. Middle East flights already does exceptional well on service when it comes to 1 stop flight options to Hyderabad. Will definitely not be taking 1 stop Air India flight, travelling 17 hours and wait for 3 more hours and take additional 1 or 2 hours to Hyderabad .

In reply to Avinash Adiga. I have had the pleasure of being a victim of this via both BA and AI. I'd rather this happen with BA then with Air India. At least BA are more professional in ensuring I get to my final destination. I have had horrible experience with AI albeit when it was gov. controlled.

Air India should look at new nonstops between Bangalore and Seattle, Dallas, and LAX. This will truly add value to the pax and profit for AI. Creating Bangalore as a hub for passengers to Chennai or Hyderabad will also work but Air India will just one more one-stop option.

In reply to Mohanan Nair. If you get stuck in London or Europe you might end up delayed for very long, immigaration hassles.. I would anytime fly a directly anywhere in India with so much connectivities in case of delayes!! I will support an Indian company rather than supporting a foreign company which treats us like second grade citizens.

I would anyday fly from HYD to DXB and then continue on to US. Flying from HYD to DEL or HYD to BLR and then taking the flight to US would be a nightmare. Either a direct flight from HYD or go to DXB and then take a direct flight.

Bad Idea ..
If you want to fly a direct flight from Washington DC to South India, Choose Hyderabad. Washington DC area has lot of Hyderabad people , 90% of this flight will be HYD folks. Flying direct flight to Bengaluru from HYD is bad idea, as there is wait for 4 hours to take 1 hour trip to HYD
